The Founders’ Story

MGT Insurance was born out of a simple but powerful belief: modern technology can transform insurance into something far more efficient and accessible for small businesses across America. As brothers and Co-Founders, Graham and Michael Topol spent their early careers in different parts of the insurance and tech industries but both saw how much time, money, and human potential legacy insurance systems wasted.

They launched MGT as the first AI-native neo-insurer for small commercial property and casualty: a full-stack carrier built from the ground up on agentic AI, serving the independent agents and the more than 36 million small businesses that power the American economy.

From the very beginning, they knew that success depended not just on technology, but on trust. That's why MGT is obsessed with being the easiest carrier for independent agents to work with: fast to quote, clear on appetite, and responsive when it matters.
