6 Insurtech Trends for 2026
As 2025 came to a close, PropertyCasualty360 gathered predictions from leaders across the industry on what 2026 would hold for insurtech — and our Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Graham Topol, was among the six voices featured.
Graham's outlook centers on a theme we return to often at MGT: insurance as the engine behind American small business.
"We see insurance as the unsung hero of the American economy," Graham told the publication. "It's the engine that drives commerce, enabling entrepreneurs to take risks and pursue new opportunities. Technology allows us to do better risk segmentation and risk selection, enabling us to provide insurance for underserved markets."
He also spoke to how MGT thinks about technology's role in an industry built on expertise:
"We're not here to replace the deep knowledge and history of the insurance industry; instead, we're here to enhance it. Our approach is to blend old-school expertise with new-school technology. By combining deep industry expertise with full-stack technology, we don't replace human capabilities; we augment it, allowing us to serve more of the market, more effectively."
The full roundup includes perspectives from leaders at Mylo, Bolt, Applied Systems, Cytora, and Driver Technologies on where AI, distribution, and risk are headed in 2026.
